About
Welcome to New Kim Kee Noodle House, a delightful oasis for lovers of Chinese cuisine located at 8766 Valley Blvd, Rosemead, CA. Known for its flavorful dishes and vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant is a gem in the bustling culinary landscape of California. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I'm excited to share the highlights that make this establishment a must-visit!
One of the standout features of New Kim Kee is its extensive menu that caters to a variety of dietary preferences, including pescatarian, vegan, and vegetarian options. This inclusivity ensures that everyone can savor a delicious meal, whether it’s at breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The casual vibe and ability to accommodate larger groups make it a perfect spot for gatherings with friends and family.
The moment you step inside, you’ll notice the lively ambiance that’s often filled with the chatter of satisfied patrons. The kitchen operates at full speed, preparing delectable dishes that keep customers returning. As Naomi L. noted in her review, the seafood with egg noodles is a highlight—prepared dry style with fresh and generous portions of seafood that showcase the skill of the kitchen staff. The crunchy shrimp chips complement the dish perfectly, dispelling any worries about quality.
Repeat visitors, like Sarah and Susanna, have shared their fond nostalgia for the classic dishes that remind them of home. The clean and flavorful broth, paired with the thin yellow noodles, is touted as not just a meal but a remedy for anything from hangovers to simple cravings. And while navigating the busy lunch crowd may come with a bit of a wait, the payoff is undoubtedly worth it.
Overall, New Kim Kee Noodle House is a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. It resonates with a spirit of inclusiveness while delivering authentic flavors that celebrate its Asian heritage. Whether you’re a noodle aficionado or simply in search of a new dining experience, this restaurant should undoubtedly be on your list. With its strategic location, plethora of options, and commitment to quality, it stands ready to welcome you to a delightful culinary journey filled with every slurp of noodle and sip of tea!

“ I liked this location much more than the other Kim Kee Noodle House! Restaurant will be busy any day of the week during lunch, but the staff works hard to turnover tables fast. My friends and I all got #22 -- Seafood with egg noodles, dry style. I got the thick egg noodles and was not disappointed. The shrimp chip was also not stale whatsoever (which I was afraid of, because the other location gave out stale chips) and tasted as it should. I enjoyed the vast amounts of fish balls and seafood in the dish. Parking lot in the back or street parking a block away. ”
“ Food here is great! Service is also great. I don't recommend going around lunch time. This place is always a wait. They open as early as 8:00 AM. Great fix if you want Cambodian kathiew and don't have access to Cambodian food. The kidney was good but when you get the bowl, it's a very little Portion. There was a pile of bean sprout underneath that fooled us. The Chinese donut is crispy and delicious. The peach tea is my favorite thing to drink and it's a buy one and get one free. I recommend. ”
“ I am a huge fan of this place. It's the classic Chinese "small thin yellow noodle" spot that always brings me back to my childhood. I come here about once every two weeks and always get the same thing: Seafood thin yellow noodles with soup on the side. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a hangover cure or just looking to try something new. The broth is clean, flavorful, and will definitely help ward off the effects of any alcohol. The seafood and noodles are also great, especially when you add the condiments on the table. We also order the rice cakes with egg and peach green tea, which are both excellent. Plus, they have a BOGO deal for the peach green tea and plum tea duo, which is a steal! There's also an older man who helps out--I'm not sure if he's the owner, but he's super sweet. He once let me try the peach green tea when I asked about the drink that everyone around me was ordering. Truly a gem of a person. One thing to note: Don't expect this place to be the traditional "Hi! Welcome, how can I help you?" kind of spot. It's a fairly traditional Asian establishment, so be prepared for a "What do you want?" attitude. They mean well, but it can get a bit overwhelming when it's busy. Still, I would highly recommend it! ”
“ Stopped by Kim Kee after a long day of errands with my boyfriend. I've been to all their locations, and this place never fails to impress. My go-to order is always the small egg noodle dry, and it' always hit the spot. The noodles are cooked perfectly, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. My boyfriend decided to try the crispy noodles, but neither of us were fans. the sauce and texture just didn't work for us. the filet mignon rice dish was a hit! The meat was tender, and the flavor was spot on. Too much rice tho and not enough meat. Overall, Kim Kee holds a special place for me, especially for their egg noodle dry. ”
“ This is my favorite noodle house in the SGV. Pretty much any dish you order is solid. They have fast service. You sit down and order and within less than a couple minutes they bring the bowl of noodles in front of you. The ambiance is a classic Chinese restaurant that is a ton of hustle and bustle. This place charges you extra if you use credit card. So there is a cash price that you should be aware of if you want to save 3%. ”
“ One of the local spots for noodle soup! All sorts of combinations. The infamous house special noodles, your choice wet or dry. Pick the type of noodles you fancy. Other well known is their fried dough with eggs, omelette typed, served with chopped onions and salted/fermented dry radish bits. The hot chili/satay sauce is so good to go along with any of the noodle dishes. ”
“ Haven't been KK for a long time and it's still cash only!!! But New KK is located at the Valley Blvd in SGV area... the house n seafoods double noodles is still delicious and tasty!! I usually ordered thin rich noodles and thin egg noodles mix!!! The most important in the whole meal is using their XO spicy sauce with soy sauce together mix dipping with noodles and foods!!! This is one of the biggest reason I think they're popular in the area!!! ”
“ This is one of the staples in Rosemead/SGV. If you arrive around 10 or 11 AM on the weekend, be prepared to wait. New Kim Kee is different than Kim Ky in Rosemead and San Gabriel, but the food they serve is almost the same and this location feels much cleaner. The nice thing is the servers are quick to clean up the tables and seat the next group. Once you place the order, the food comes out very quickly, especially if you get a noodle dish that they are known for. They serve iced tea without being asked, which is a plus. For food, my go to is #1 with pho noodles and thin egg noodles. This comes with liver, but if you don't like it, you can ask to have it removed. The soup always hits the spot, not too heavy, but still flavorful. Another popular dish is their satay beef dry noodles, which is essentially noodles covered in their satay sauce. This is a bit heavier for me. My husband enjoys it every time. For appetizers, try their pan fried rice cake with eggs and radish. It's made slightly different from Kim Ky, but ultimately the same taste. Bring cash, as they have a separate menu for credit card users or will charge you a fee for using card. ”
